Safety and Systems IVVQ Intern
MISSION
The candidate will support the System/IVVQ team of Mercury International and will be responsible to develop a video analyser for ARINC 818 video stream based on PCIe boards.During the project work, the student will be guided by an experienced engineer and will be working in a dynamic multi-cultural environment as part of a mixed team of engineers, gaining experience also in the planning and management aspects of the project.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Test of various video interfaces, inputs and outputs, copper and optical to ensure good quality to customer and to some extent flight safety
- Implementation of different functions such as display, image transformation, status reporting, ancillary data support and runtime image processing to provide all tools needed to analyze MMSI products video stream
- Integration with previously developed video frameworks taking into account the compatibility with video4Linux (V4L2)
SKILLS
- Good level of the English language
- Previous studies or project experience in one or more of the following domains:
- SW design and development in C/C++ and Python
- Video development
- PCIe/DMA experience
- Linux environment (V4L2 preferably)
EDUCATION
- MSc studies in the domain of electronics, software engineering or computer science
- General interest in the domain of avionics and high-tech embedded computing is an advantage
